Jubilant Julius Baer celebrate in St. Moritz

Final of the 25th. Cartier Polo World Cup on Snow has been held today, and Julius Baer claimed the tournament as they beat title holders, Brioni by 6 - 3 1/2.

The frozen St. Moritz lake, located in the middle of the Swiss Alps, greeted the teams under the snow. Julius Baer, led by Pablo MacDonough and the experimented snow player, José Donoso, showed a great team play and overwhelmed Brioni during the whole match.

Donoso led all scoring with four goals and Pablo MacDonough and George MIlford haven added single goals. In their first ever final, Julius Baer became champions in the 25th. Jubilee of the world´s most important snow polo tournament.

Nacho Gonzalez was Brioni´s attack key man, as he tried to score many times to close the gap, and John-Paul Clarkin showed his skils with the orange ball in the snow.

That´s how the Cartier Polo World Cup on Snow 2009 has just finished, the tournament which opens the World Polo Tour.

Prior to the final, Cartier, with three goals from Glen Gilmore, beat Maybach 3 - 2 1/2. Once again, Agustín Martínez filled in for injured Federico Bachman in Maybach.
