In a cloudy and windy afternoon, the match had Polo de Deauville leading the opening chukker . Anyway, it was Talandracas that scored the first goal through Matias Benoit, to take an early 1-0 lead, but it was Valentin Novillo Astrada and Dario Musso (one field and a 30 yards penalty, respectively) who scored to put Polo de Deauville 2-1 up.

In the second chukker, Guillermo Terrera tied at 2-all, but once again, Novillo Astrada and Musso put Talandracas back in the lead, 4-2. Lucas Monteverde cut the margin to one goal, with a 30 yards penalty conversion.

As weather became colder, and when everybody expected a much balanced game, Talandracas made a comeback in the third chukker, and took control of the action in the next four periods. Two goals by Lucas Monteverde, gave Talandracas their first lead in the match, 5-4. After half time, Monteverde himself would score again after half time, to extend Talandracas’ advantage to 7-4.

A goal by Matias Benoit gave Talandracas a comfortable 8-4 lead with one chukker remaining, as Polo de Deauville was left scoreless for four straight chukkers. In the sixth frame, and with the match almost decided, Guillermo Terrera scored the last goal for Talandracas. Polo de Deauville had a 60-yards penalty conversion by Dario Musso, but at this time, there was not much to do. The Coupe d’Or already belonged to Edouard Carmignac and his boys.
